Who told you it ’causes many deaths each year’?? Maybe a bit of fact checking is order – I’m pretty sure the last death while climbing was in 2010 and that was the first in around ten years.

Yeah, don’t see the point in traipsing over another culture to do a climb you could do any number of other places.

We found the diverse structures most surprising:
not a single, smooth rock, but also caves, holes, rocks in all shapes
and sizes, traces of waterways and even waterholes. After seeing many
pictures of the Rock I’d say matching your (mistaken) expectations with
the actual experience is worth going there.
