Travel Photographers on Instagram
There’s nothing like a gorgeous image of an exotic destination to get the travel juices flowing.  Instagram has become a marvelous source for a daily dose of images that is easy to check and constantly being updated.  What makes the service interesting is the distinctive square shape that is reminiscent of taking polaroids back in the day.
I have found myself spending more and more time on Instagram as of late and have found some truly inspiring photographers. With too many to share all at once I plan on sharing the best in small, themed batches, starting with the ten I feel are mandatory follows.
If you have an Instagram account, do yourself a favor and follow these travel photographers on Instagram.  You won’t regret it.
Canvas of Light
Where many travel photographers take beautiful images of their travels, Daniel’s photography has much more of an artistic bent to it. Interesting angles and perspectives on Asia and Europe dominate his Instagram account.
Finding the Universe
The images on Laurence’s Instagram account are often intense and full of color. I love the way he captures clouds in many of his images.
The Planet D
Dave and Deb are a fantastic example of a couple successfully making their way around the world. A huge collection of colorful photographs invite you to come along on their global adventures.
Kirsten Alana
Kirsten’s Instagram account is somewhat unique in that she includes long, descriptive captions with each of her images in order to promote a dialog with her followers. Â Check out her images and get involved in the conversation.
Legal Nomads
If you travel through your stomach, Jodi’s focus on food and travel will be right up your alley. A solo, female traveler, her account contains a mixture of fluffy clouds, travel snapshots and enticing cuisine.
Adventurous Kate
The images on Kate’s account are a great collection of images that demonstrate the lifestyle of a solo, female traveler. Â From food to beaches to cityscapes, you never quite know what you’ll find.
Everything Everywhere
Recently voted Photographer of the Year by the Society of American Travel Writers (SATW), Gary Arndt is one of the most popular and well-traveled bloggers out there.  Follow him on Instagram as he visits UNESCO World Heritage sites around the world.

JD’s Instagram account contains stunning wildlife and expansive landscapes from his travels around the world. You’ll find all manner of images and video to inspire your next trip abroad.
Expert Vagabond
One of the most acclaimed adventure-focused travel bloggers out there, you’ll find him doing everything from diving with great white sharks to traipsing through a South American jungle.
Trey Ratcliff
Currently in New Zealand, Trey is most widely known for being at the forefront of High-Dynamic Range (HDR) photography, which tends to have a very specific appearance. Â He’s also got an incredible collection of Burning Man images, which are spread throughout his account.
Well, there you have it – the 10 best travel photographers on Instagram. Â They continue to inspire me to travel and motivate me to improve my own photography. I hope they will inspire you as well.
As I said at the beginning, there are so many great photographers out there it would be overwhelming to try and share them all at once. Â I hope to share the best in small batches, with the next group being instagramers who focus on some of my favorite countries.
