A few of my Japanese students from Ina, Japan

A couple of students from my time spent teaching English in Japan.

I really hope you’re enjoying the content on Flashpacker HQ.  I will continue to try and provide good articles on traveling from the perspective of a backpacker turned flashpacker in addition to as much travel photography as you can handle.  You can see a schedule of upcoming content in this recent letter to my readers.

As Flashpacker HQ is still considered quite a young site as travel blogs go, one of the ways you can really help is by spreading the word about this site.  Here are a few ways you can help without spending a dime:

Share posts on Facebook – Here’s how to share a post or photo on Facebook.  Just underneath the header, you will see a button that says “Share” with the Facebook “f” beside it.  Click on this and a window will pop up where you can put in some information and then share that post as a link with people on your Facebook account.

Stumble – Instructions for adding a post to the StumbleUpon network.  Just underneath the header, you will see a submit button underneath a circular green and blue logo with letters “S” and “U”.  This is the link for StumbleUpon – a kind of social bookmarking site.  If you really want to get the word out, write a review for the post you are stumbling and share it with the network.

Twitter – Share that post with your followers on twitter by clicking on the tweet button.

Digg – If you really dig a particular post, you can share it with Digg.com by clicking on the digg link.

These are four options for helping out.  The most important two are probably Facebook and StumbleUpon.  They’re also great services if you aren’t already using them.  Thanks for spreading the word and stay tuned to the site for more travel articles and travel photography!
