Statue of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva on top of Mt. Emei, highest of the four sacred Buddhist Mountains of China according to Wikipedia. Our plan was to climb about two-thirds of the way up and spend the night in a monastery, but we made the climb in a single day and were rewarded by an overnight stay in the meteorological station at the top and a sunrise that, quite frankly, could have been better. It was a great experience with a great group of people!
