There are two main obstacles you face getting to the top of Mt. Emei. The first, and most daunting bit, is the stairs. The nature of the climb is such that you think you’ve obtained some height only to hit a patch where you’re moving back down knowing you’ll have to climb back up each step further ahead. The second thing you must face is a gauntlet of aggressive monkeys who are after anything they can get their hands on. It took all of five seconds for one of these beasts to grab a bottle of orange juice from a Japanese tourist’s bag, open the bottle and pour the contents on the ground where he could get at it.
I don't believe we are what we do to earn money. Instead, I consider myself to be all of these and more: photographer, traveler, foodie, teacher, student, blogger, explorer, poker player, music lover, son, film buff, computer geek, scuba diver, game player, friend, mountain climber, social drinker, and seeker of new experiences.
